New Season Winter Wear
Although it’s a little way off, cuddly winter jumpers and jackets are arriving in-store this week at Dogcity!

HamletThis is Hamlet the blue Great Dane as a puppy on his way to his new home! Although this was a couple of years ago now, Hamlet is still a big puppy at heart and keeps all the other big dogs busy at daycare. His little mate from NCL class is Millie the mini-schnauzer, but apart from that Hamlet loves any dog that likes a good fast rumble! |
BuddyHere is big Buddy teddybear holding his new favourite toy from Dogcity! Buddy is a gorgeous labradoodle who is much loved by his family and best friend Stella the shorthaired pointer. Buddy loves rolling on the ground, water and any dogs or people that will give him attention! |

SophieThis photo was taken in Bundaberg and Sophie had the ball in her mouth, I told her to drop it and she put it at her feet. Sophie was born 20th March 2009 in Port Hedland, Western Australia. She has travelled throughout the North West including the Gibb River Road. She then left Port Hedland and we travelled via Broome, across the top to Cairns, down to Bundaberg, where we spent 9 months in our 5th wheeler and left just before the floods for Adelaide. we are currently staying at Belair and plan to continue touring in April.
Sophie’s favourite toy is anything that squeaks! She’s very intelligent, eager to please, speaks English and loves walks, we have a Croozer dog trailer for behind our bikes and as long as she can come with us she’s happy.
We love Dogcity Daycare.

HarryHi my name is Harry and I am a 6 month old Tibetan Mastiff. Although I’m still young, everyone keeps telling me how big I am already and that I’m going to be VERY VERY BIG later. I still think I am small and cute and can fit anywhere I can even though I have trouble sometimes. They also tell me that I am VERY spoilt, but I don’t seem to think so. Some of my favourite things are; eating lots of treats (mmm Pigs Ears are the best), playing with all my toys and especially new ones I can shred to bits and chewing on my Mum and Dad’s shoes (well only the ones I have now destroyed and allowed to keep). I also enjoy a nice walk down the beach, the local dog park, riding in the car with my head out the window getting the wind between my fur, walks and visiting rest of the family and friends at their homes and the occassional cafes, playing with other dogs no matter how big or small. I think my favourite place of all must be Dogcity Daycare. I wish Mum and Dad could take me more often.
The best part of any day is when Mum and Dad come home and find all the mischief I’ve been up too, digging holes and destroying Dad’s precious garden and lawn. They still love me though, why wouldn’t they? I love a good cuddle and rub on my belly and when I am really tired you will find me resting on the bed, but still looking out the large window, just to make sure I am checking if anyone is coming and to make sure I am keeping an eye on everything!!

DexterDexter is an innocent and angelic boy who loves to play, in particular in anything that is dirty or smells! We have tried to teach him stranger danger, but in reality he just loves the company of humans or fellow dogs, and feels everyone should love him back. And who wouldn’t? Dogcity provides him with a day once a week of pure ectasy doing the things he loves - play, play and play some more. He then goes home and sleeps for the next 24 hours, win win! P.S. There is no mud at Dogcity! |
BaileyThis is Bailey, she is a 10 month old Bernese Mountain Dog. Everything about Bailey is extra large, including her personality, tail and appetite for cuddles! Despite her size Bailey is absolutely a sooky la-la, she has been known to run away from birds and bark at the occasional rock. She is a VERY spoilt girl and goes pretty much everywhere with her owner including work and friends houses. Bailey loves to play with any kind of squeaky toy, but her favourite is her squeaky football. Bailey loves going for walks in the park and on the beach and her favourite kind of doggy play time is definitely the Dogcity kind! This is one bernese who has definitely perfected the ‘berner lean’, she leans on people she really likes to stop them escaping – this includes the entire Dogcity team! |
IvyIvy is a 5 year old Basset Hound, she is an open tri-colour. She has an American Staffie brother at home called Max. She loves to play with smaller dogs, loves toys and loves the water. She also enjoys long walks on the beach! Ivy is also particularly fond of muddy puddles. |
MicahHi, I’m Micah and I’m a blue merle Border Collie (I know I look like an Aussie Shepherd but I promise I’m not!) and I will be one year old in March. I come from the hills way, and my parents Bluebelle and Nelson are still up there having a lovely time. I’ve been with my owner Michelle since I was eight weeks old and was reasonably destructive for a bit at the beginning. I ate the underneath of the couch and I especially liked Michelle’s shoes, they were perfect for a quick chew until she hid them all from me! I get into trouble a bit with Geoff, he’s the boss of everything and he doesn’t let me hoon down the passage or play on the couch. I like him though, he’s the cool guy who takes me to golf. Michelle takes me everywhere she goes and I’ve met loads of really cool friends. We just hang out and have a hoot all day. I’m so tired when I get home, I just fall straight to sleep! |
ArloMy name is Arlo. I am a silver miniature poodle with perfect posture – but I love being a little bit scruffy, chasing the hose and play fighting with Dad and my brand new brother Pepin. I have been coming to Dogcity since I was 10 weeks old and I love it. Here is a picture of me with my treat box I won in Dogcity’s Halloween competition. Mum and Dad dressed me as a spider. |
Ari GoldAri Gold, Mini Schnauzer, 4 months old. He’s a spunk, just look at that face. He’s super smart, loves performing tricks and likes to lick legs. He has lots of friends at Dogcity, both the furry and human kind and for that I’m eternally grateful. |
RubyThis is Ruby, our little 11 month old girl, who loves chasing balls 24/7, loves Dogcity Daycare twice a week and loves Jono at Dogcity more than anyone else on the planet. She goes for a walk every morning with her Mum, a run every night with her Dad, a run on the beach every weekend and Dog Obedience classes every Tuesday. She has a very full and exciting life and enjoys every minute of it. She is a joy to have around and brings a lot of happiness to her family. |
Buddy and MarvinBuddy and Marvin are Lagotto brothers who frequent Dogcity for their regular play and scrub up! The dogs always arrive full of sand, mud, twigs and other outdoors items that come from a fabulous and active life with their mum. This is Marvin who loves to climb and was caught peeking at the neighbours from his potted perch! |
LuluLulu, aka Schloop (at DCDC), aka Sweet Pea or Dag depending on time of day and her mood. Lulu is a schnoodle who thinks she is a princess! She loves people as much as other dogs and even likes to play with cats, if they are game. She has two speeds – sleep and turbo; two modes – sleep or in charge; and two characters - ”I’m in charge” or “I am so vulnerable, please spoil me rotten”. Lulu has more energy that most other dogs, in fact her record to date is 5 hours at DDC followed by 6 more hours running around at home before crashing to sleep. Her favourite toy is her Mum, me. Her second favourite toy is any ball that she can find. Third? Any people she can entice to play with her. I have been told that her tail wags so fast and so furiously in anticipation of people attention of any kind that she could probably generate electricity with it – might need to see if I can harness it to save on power bills! |
GrizzlyMy name’s Grizzly and I’m a bundle of energy who loves nothing else but being with people and doing activities together. My other favourite things when not too busy chasing and herding everything that moves are food and getting cuddles. Being in doggy day care helps me getting the best of everything – I get to spend time with my fellow doggies and great doggy day care staff during the day, followed with food and cuddles with mum and dad when I get home! |
GeorgeThis is George aka Georgeous who is the apple of his mums eye! Here he is in the ‘heart tree’.. a very fitting setting for our George. |
Aimee and ChicamaChicama and Aimee, AKA the Brindle Bitches, are the best of friends. Wednesday is the most anticipated day of their week as they meet up, have a play and then head to Dogcity Daycare to see their other four-legged friends. Aimee, the Frenchie, is extremely affectionate, inquisitive and a real guts. Her favourite past times include playing with water, escaping through fences and visiting the dog park at Glenside. Meanwhile Chicama, the Staffy, is a loving, sookie and cheeky creature who thinks she is human rather than canine. She loves to sit on people’s feet, snuggle up on the couch (when invited) and take long walks along Sellicks Beach. |
LouieThis is Louie our much loved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is a very friendly and happy little chap and likes nothing more than to be running around the garden with his toys and playing with all his friends at Dogcity. He loves to play football and is quite good at getting two balls in his mouth at once! |
SamsonHe doesn’t know he isn’t a sheepdog. We used an old milk crate as a seat for him and he goes out with Paul to round sheep and check fences and water troughs. This is his favourite spot and insists on a bike ride everyday. He won’t get in the car to go home unless he’s had a ride! Thats right Samson is a Daschund, and a gorgeous one! |
LolaWhen I’m not chasing my feline brothers, spending time in the kitchen can prove profitable. Lola the Italian Greyhound! |
BarclayThe Iceman Cometh (aka Barclay) is a 2 year old Siberian Husky who loves to play. We often say that Barclay has two speeds, flat out and asleep. He’s a very affectionate boy but also loves to spend time on his own, exploring and making his own decisions. Most mornings he can be found circling the back of the car hoping for a ride to Dogcity to play with his friends. Barclay loves the beach and any other open space where he can run and meet other people and dogs. Barclay’s parents (Aaron & Caitlin) adore his kind nature and quirky traits. His ability to actively look, listen, think and then fail to react to commands is as endearing as it is challenging (a true Siberian Husky). However, you’ll never have to ask him twice for a handshake or high five!!! |
SakiSaki is a 1 year old Japanese Spitz, who came to live with us from a breeder in Sydney. She is a very energetic little girl, who enjoys the outdoors, whether it be a walk around our suburb, swimming at the beach or visiting our friends and family. She loves to play tug of war with her toys, her favourite being her hot pink wubba kong. Saki is very smart and will perform just about anything for a treat, including dancing on her hind legs. She is very sociable and enjoys visiting our local dog parks where she plays chasey with the other dogs and always manages to find a stick twice her size to play fetch with (however she wont always give it back). Saki has become a wonderful addition to our family and we couldn’t imagine our lives without her. |
HarryHarry LOVES his walks on the beach and even wore his Dogcity Santa Hat on Christmas Day! He’s a fantastic impersonator of Meerkats, and loves his time with Maria in the grooming room getting his designer look. Harry is a big fan of cuddles with the Dogcity staff and loves to hang out and watch his fur friends play from the top of the platform. |
Scotty and ZeldaThese are our Shitzu twins Zelda (the little princess) and Scotty (the big bear). They were born on 30 September 2011 in Byron Bay. They were a most wonderful surprise from Santa Clause and are the blessing in our lives. They go to Dogcity Daycare every Wednesday and Ivy the Basset Hound in their bestie…Scotty also has a little poodle who is his friend and the Dogcity team tell us that they love playing “stacks on” together! Scotty is a mummas boy and Zelda has her daddy wrapped around her little paw. They love to wrestle with each other and to have a cuddle. They also love to go out with mum and dad for breakfast! |
TobyThis is Toby, the five-year-old Groodle (golden retriever/poodle). Toby loves his days at DDC, making new friends, big and small. He especially enjoys selecting yummy treats from the shop for mum to buy him. After a busy day at DDC, Toby falls asleep in the back seat of the car on the way home, has an early dinner and sleeps the night away in front of the TV. Toby enjoys lots of cuddles and pats, long walks along the Linear Park, having a paddle in the river, being brushed to look his best and playing with his squeaky toys. He loves games of fetch and leaping in the air to catch his ball. As he is so friendly, gentle and beautiful, his mum takes him to a nursing home every Sunday afternoon to visit the residents. He is a natural therapy dog and brings a smile to the face of everyone he meets. Toby has one bad habit and that’s counter surfing in the kitchen. The naughtiest thing he ever did was steal and eat a bag of prawns that were defrosting on the sink. He enjoyed them very much but asked mum to add a little tartare sauce next time! |
BellaBella a 7 month old Miniature Schnauzer is a social butterfly with a gentle, loving temperament who can’t wait to greet every dog and share affection with every adult and child she meets on her twice daily walks in the park. She loves her visits to Dogcity and on her return home sleeps for hours. She also loves to play at the beach and in the garden, chase but not yet retrieve balls and “help” with a range of household tasks, chasing the mop, broom and vacuum. |
IzzyIzzy is a fun loving little Moodle that is big on personality! Izzy loves playing with her many balls and toys and enjoys going for walks and her weekly visits to Dogcity. She loves her morning cuddles in bed before the day starts and is an excitable little dog that loves everyone. Tummy rubs and treats are also some of her favourite things. She is a laugh to anyone that meets her and her cute little ways (there are so many) brighten up her parents day always…. |
DigbyDigby is a miniature schnauzer. He loves playing with other dogs at Daycare and at the dog park. He’ll even start squeaking if he’s really excited. Although he has a stubborn streak, he loves being close to his humans. |
EllieEllie nonstop plays with her red spiked ball! Walking around the house and yard day and night, red ball in her mouth, always ready for a game of fetch. Ellie also loves going for a drive, jumping in the back, seatbelt on and her head hanging out the window with her curls blowing in the wind. |
CJCJ is such a social boy! He loves nothing more than being around people. He is quick to move, playful and full of energy. Favourite pastimes are keeping cool in his clam pool and retrieving little snacks from his treat balls. His favourite (and mine) time of the week is his interactions with other dogs at day care. CJ loves walks around the neighbourhood and the beach. He particularly enjoys “sleep ins” on my bed and shares this quite harmoniously with the family cat Phoenix. |
MurphyHello my name is Murphy and I’m a 6 month old Hungarian Vizsla puppy. My Mum and Dad take me to Dogcity Daycare 1 or 2 days a week to help me get use up some of the enormous amounts of energy I have – it’s the only days I don’t have my “mad hour” as they call it late in the evening – if I don’t go to Dogcity I have to have a 6-7km walk every single day or I’m very naughty cause I’m bored!!! I love to dig holes in the back garden when they’re not watching me; steal socks if they laying around and I’m completely obsessed with the 2 cats that share my house as well – one of them is okay and quite likes me but the old one is grumpy and just growls at me all the time. Best of all, I LOVEEEEEE cuddles with Mum and Dad and anyone else who can spare five minutes to rub my belly or my ears, but watch out cause I’ll lick you to bits with affection when you do. |
MaddyThis is Maddy at home in relaxed mode. She loves to hang with the group and join in with whatever is happening. But if nothings going on she entertains herself harassing the fish, the birds, the cat or the lizards, living up to her heritage of protecting her house from ‘vermin’ as she sees it. But really she is the most affectionate dog that we have known and loves nothing better than to share a nap on our bed. |
VeronicaVeronica is a 5 and half year old German Shepherd Husky X. She loves running through dirty great big puddles, wrestling with her dad and playing down the beach. Ronnie came to Adelaide with her mum and dad from the UK 18 months ago and loves the space and fun her new life offers. Ronnie has always been a little overzealous and wants to play with every dog she meets and so with her new found doggy and human friends at dogcity she’s got all the fun and attention she needs. |
HochiHochi is one of the most affectionate dogs many people have ever met. His unusually gentle and bonding nature is partly due to selective breeding; he comes from a Kangaroo Island birth-home where the selection is for temperament. He’s a border collie, of the caramel and white kind that is sometimes called the Australian Red, as there are more of this unusual colour combination here than elsewhere. Dogcity is his main pack, and he’s so keen he drags me up the stairs to get in there! |
ArtemisArtemis is a very affectionate and slightly stubborn 5 month old Labrador, who is full of energy and loves to play with both 2 and 4 legged friends whenever possible. She loves stealing things from around the house, and her favourite game is playing “chase me & try to catch me” in order to get them back. She also loves redecorating the house, bringing in sticks, bark, dirt, leaves, rocks and anything else she can find outside. If there is nothing interesting outside to be brought in, then she loves to redecorate by ripping apart her toys, shoes, plastic bags, toilet rolls, or anything else that she can sink her puppy teeth into! Although very mischievous, Artemis is also a softie, who loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with her Mum in front of the heater (with Artemis snoring her head off), especially after a big fun day at doggy daycare. Artemis believes in her head that she is already a lot bigger than she actually is, as she loves to play with the biggest dogs she can find at the beach or dog park. She loves pigs ears and food of any kind (the human type is always much better!!) |
PeachesMy name is Peaches, I am almost 2 years old now, a border collie with a gentle temperament and loads of energy. My favourite things in the world are tennis balls, although I’m no good at letting them go, fortunately I live over the fence from some tennis courts and get more than enough balls to amuse myself. I also love soft toys, going for walks, running around with other dogs and napping in my bean-bag. I really like going to Dogcity because it’s one of the few ways to tire me out. |
LeonMeet Mr. Leon the Boston Terrier. He is not what you would call a “morning dog”, except on Dogcity Wednesday when he’s the first out of bed, waiting patiently by the door. He loves visiting his friends, particularly his girlfriend Puggle Mia. He loves it so much that Thursdays are usually very slow, recovering from an infamous “dog-over”. When he is not at Dogcity Daycare, Leon can be found sitting on his chomping pillow (which was formerly the couch), eating whatever he can pull out of the garden and through his dog door. He is particularly skilled in the art of destroying tennis balls and chasing sticks. After a busy day of snarling about his favourite place to be he is snuggling under a fleece blanket on your lap. |
MaxI am Max, a much loved 2 year old silver miniature poodle and the apple of my parents eyes. I love visiting my local cafe each morning with Mum & Dad & catching up with friends. My favorite places are Dogcity, the sofa, my local dog park, cafes and the beach. I love my Dad, my toy collection, Nanna, Grandma, steak & scones. Pet hates are cats, mum’s crappy chicken casserole and flying. I like to keep fit by walking 2-3 times per day and playing at the dog park when weather permits. I am a very successful landlord and love to cosy up indoors when I’m not out & about. I love my weekly visits to Dogcity and making new friends everywhere I go. |
BertieBertie is a happy and much-loved Miniature Schnauzer who’s favourite past time is to sleep on his mum’s furniture. After a tough day playing ball at the local oval, Bertie spends time with his house-mates, Oliver and Horace the British short-haired cats. Bertie is treated with two walks a day and loves meeting up with his other dog friends out and about. |
TwiggyTwiggy is an eight month old Labrador. She is the most sociable dog at her favourite hangout – the dog-park – where she insists on meeting every dog as well as every human in the vicinity. She is your typical excitable, playful pup who will do just about anything for food. She loves walks, swimming, fetch, hanging out in the kitchen when mum’s cooking, learning tricks with dad, visiting her grandma and grandpa and playing with her best friends LJ (the chocolate lab) and her cousin Banjo (the staffy). |
Vixy RoseVixy Rose is a lovely lady that has recently joined our playgroup. Her favourite pastimes include playing with other dogs big and small, training and tug and she can be as lively or as gentle as the other dogs like her to be. We need to watch our treat pouches when she is around as she has a clever knack of finding her way into them! |
HenryHenry is a gorgeous 9 month old cocker spaniel puppy full to the brim with energy and excitement! His friendly nature means that he loves to be around people and other four legged friends and he usually out-plays all of his friends at doggy daycare. Henry loves spending time in the garden chasing crickets and playing with his toy garfield. As friendly and playful as he is, he can’t understand why his burmese cat brothers arent as excited at the idea of playing chasy in the backyard as he is, but he hasnt given up trying yet! |
BrunoBruno, aka “McMenace”, is a 9 month old, very handsome (according to his Mum) Black Labrador. Friend to everyone and anyone, Bruno’s favourite pastimes are wrestling with the household cats, stealing other dogs’ balls on the beach, sleeping in on Mum and Dad’s bed and getting tummy tickles. Bruno comes from a long line of champion guide dogs and recently topped his Advanced Obedience Class; however one still can’t guarantee that he won’t lead you in front of an oncoming car if there is something delicious on the road! Bruno looks forward to his day at Dogcity Daycare each week and so do his parents: sometimes a pooped Labrador puppy is the best kind to have!! |
RamseyMeet Ramsey, the dashing one year old White Terrier. “Was he in that ad?” No, but with those handsome eyes and that plucky swagger, he sure could’ve been. A family man -dog, “Rama” spends his weekends travelling with his folks, “wherever they go I go and If I don’t well that’s cool because I love hanging out with the grandparents” and his weekdays mainly chewing yummy things. Running, jumping, chasing – Ramsey’s happiest where the action is. “Rama” loves food, walks, food, snuggling in bed, food, trying to eat water, food, neighbourhood watch and food. Haven’t met a westie gentleman before? Say Hello to Ramsey. |
SupaSupa is a happy four month old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who just loves to run and play. There’s no time for goodbyes for dad when he arrives at Dogcity, he’s straight into playtime with his friends. He’s a social boy who loves to get out and about meeting new people and other dogs. One look from those gorgeous eyes and he’s got you exactly where he wants you, wrapped around his paw. The exception to that is Cooper cat who’s still coming to terms with this energetic pup that’s invaded his house. Supa loves rides in the car, going to work with dad, cuddles with mum, running headfirst into plants in the backyard, stealing socks, helping in the shed, and chewing his squeaky duck. |
MorganMorgan (aka Mad Dog Morgan pictured here on the right) is a 9 month old Labrador. Her favourite thing is anything she’s doing at the time. She’s happy, tenacious and very inquisitive. If you are doing something she will be there watching and we are sure thinking of a better way of doing it!. Her big Sister Nala, is a 5 year old Lab. Nala’s favourite day is the one when Morgan is at Dogcity as she can catch up on sleep and not have Morgan hanging off her ear all day! Morgan loves chasing ducks off ‘her’ jetty at the river (near Morgan the town) and also loves to jump as high as she can into the water. She has taken to Daycare like a duck to water and is exhausted and content when she gets home. |
Cameron and AlanTwo year old Collie brothers Cameron and Alan Dalgarno adore their brother Malcolm the cockatoo who they lick on the face every morning but love each other more than anything. Their favourite game is chasing each other and wrestling. They adore people and they are both named after good friends of their parents. They love going for meals at cafes on the weekend because they get made a fuss of and get very spoilt by everyone and also love, love, love thunderstorms, when they go mad running around the backyard and barking. They gang up on any birds that land in the back yard and always have Malcom to back them up! Cameron has more of a conscience than Alan who thinks his looks will get him off the hook when he steals food and shoes. |
PetePete is a 15 month old Golden Retriever who is very much a mummy’s boy, craving lots of hugs, cuddles and human attention. His number one activity is playtime at the park with all his canine friends. He enjoys regular swims in the creek, pond and ocean – any water will do! Hide and seek in the house is also a favourite, as are his days at Dogcity, which see him exhausted on the couch within minutes after he arrives home. Pete never barks, does excellent somersaults, loves carrot and apple, is fascinated by cats and has a tendency to run sideways. He is an adorable companion and is spoilt accordingly. |
MurphyMurphy is a gorgeous 3 year old GSD/Rottweiller cross who moved with Jen and Colin from the UK in November 2009. Murphy likes nothing more than chasing a ball, whether it’s in the park, the garden or, her favourite, swimming in the sea to fetch her ball. Murphy is well trained but can be excitable when the mood takes her. She loves running about with other dogs and enjoys the company of humans, and is excellent with young children. Murphy loves her days at Dogcity, and is happy, but exhausted when she comes home. |
Nina and Mr ScraggsNina (the beautiful one) and Mr Scraggs (the cute one) have been best friends since the moment they met. Perhaps there is a truth in the saying that opposites attract. Mr Scraggs is an extremely outgoing little chap who is happy to chat to anybody human or canine. That said he would chose the company of Nina if a choice had to be made. Nina, unlike Mr Scraggs is a little more sensitive, reserved and selective when it comes to making friends. They do however share a few things in common – both, when permitted are disciples to the occupation of couch dwelling, walking, running, playing chasey and have an unwavering affection for their human companions. At times they both completely forget the fact that they are dogs and appear to have a genuine belief that they are as human as the next person. Going to day care once or twice a week (which to them is just like school) is always a highlight. They both go home tired but happy. |
HerbieHerbie is a 1 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback who just loves going to daycare. He likes to tell mum how excited he is all the way there. It’s a different story on the way home as he is too tired to move! Herbie loves to play and go for walks in the hills, but mostly he loves to squeeze in on the 2.5 seater couch with mum and dad to get cuddles. |
MartyMarty is a 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback x Staffi and loves nothing more than cuddles on the couch and big belly rubs. She has the biggest most beautiful brown eyes that could melt anyone’s heart, especially her mum’s. She loves nothing more than cuddles on the couch and big belly rubs. Marty loves going to Dogcity to visit her best friends, in particular the workers at dog city day care and her other furry best friends! Marty loves catching waves at the beach, playing ball and chasey, and helping herself to any food that has been left unattended on the kitchen bench! She has a larger than life personality and will be your best friend forever for only cuddles and treats in return. |
LeoLeo loves to chase our cat, Shadow, and lick her furiously much to her disgust. He also loves to chew on anything that doesn’t below to him (underwear in particular) and steals rolls of toilet paper from every bathroom in the house! He’s like a “stealth dog” because of his colour and he’s so quiet at times you don’t know where he is. His favourite food is fritz and loves pigs ears too, which we love because they keep him quiet for about half an hour.Best of all, Leo’s favourite thing to do is play and play and play with any dog he comes in contact with that’s why he loves Dogcity Daycare so much. |
HarleyHarley is a 6 month old Spoodle with loads of energy, especially when visiting his friends at Dogcity. At home he spends most of his time following around his dad and playing with his many balls and toys. He loves cuddles and is always exited to meet visitors. He likes doing tricks for treats but will also do them for the right amount of love. Harley enjoys swimming in the Murray river and loves being wet at any opportunity. His favourite food is puppy fritz and lots of biscuits, with the occasional old shoe or stick. Wearing a sheepskin has made him appreciate being comfortable and so he loves his soft bed most of all, especially after a day playing at daycare. |
HermanHerman is an outgoing 18 month old German Shorthaired Pointer, who loves pretty much everyone and everything. His favourite pastimes include visiting his friends at Dogcity Day Care and playing with his best friend Bonaparte, the neighbours giant poodle. Herman is very affectionate and insists he is included in all family activities. He also enjoys patrolling the front fence, eager to attract the attention of any passes by. |
Jeff and MadgeJeff and Madge are two Labradoodles who love coming to Daycare! The Labrador in Jeff makes him love the water, and you’ll never see him happier than chasing a ball in and out of the sea at Maslin Beach. Jeff sometimes gets teased for his camp poodle trott though he soon gets his street cred back when he shows off his high five trick. Jeffs best friend is the laid back and gentle Madge, a Labradoodle from Tasmania. She is a wise old soul with a cute fluffy exterior! Madge loves to play tug of war with Jeff, even though she rarely wins. Madge hasn’t learned any party tricks yet but she does the cutest ‘Bambi’ run when she gets excited. After a big play with the their friends at Daycare they will always return to curl up with each other for a well deserved nap. |
PenelopePenelope is an enthusiastic two year old Basset Hound who lives to socialise with other dogs. Her patient wait for her visit to Dogcity on Wednesdays begins on Tuesday morning with a tilt of the head questioning if today’s the day? She is most happy when frolicking with other dogs at Dogcity and the various parks she visits. Her loose skin is a source of amusement for many and it enables her to perform her favourite trick of slipping out of her collar or harness whenever her mother is foolish enough to try and restrain her! She is still puzzled as to why George the cockatiel and the wooly dogs at the farm (sheep) don’t want to play with her when she so desperately wants to play with them? |
LoftyThis is Lofty, he is an Italian Greyhound. He is friendly, gentle and playful. At the park he especially enjoys getting the other dogs to chase him so that he can show off his amazing speed and agility. At home he wants to be with us all the time and at night, he waits until we are sound asleep before sneaking into one of our beds. |
JezzJezz is an energetic 2 year old Maltese/Pomeranian who loves being the centre of attention. He gets very excited on the days he is going to day care and waits expectantly by the garage door ready to go. He especially loves games of chasey and tug-of-war with other dogs or his human friends. Jezz has a tendency to be mischievous, but when he knows he has been naughty, he will beg for forgiveness by rolling on his tummy in surrender in the hope for belly rub. He is very loyal and will do just about anything for a treat. |

Chilli & HamletShe’s not a pony, or even a cow as a toddler once mis-identified her. Chilli is a two year old blue Great Dane with boundless affection and no concept of how big she is. She used to be a Nervous Nellie but Dogcity has really helped to change that. She adores going to day care and is now joined by new family member Hamlet, a 20 week old mantle Great Dane. They are the best of friends and their favourite game is “I’ve got something you want” with the pictured pink pig. Hamlet is the antithesis of ‘highly strung’ and already epitomises the Great Dane’s reputation as a couch potato; a problem for the rest of the family as he will easily outgrow his big sister leaving little room on the couch. After a big day at Dogcity you will find them snoring on their very own queen-size daybed! |

Archie & SpencerArchie is a 6 year old Golden Retriever who does not like to believe he is getting old.He is obsessed with chasing his tennis ball and loves swimming, even better when this is combined with the tennis ball. Archie likes to believe that he is the man of the house, especially when his Dad is away when he tries to discreetly sneak onto the couch/bed. Spencer is 4 and just wants to be with people or Archie at all times. He doesn’t really like much physical activity and would much prefer to sleep or be hugged and petted. He is perfectly complacent and tolerates the rabbit climbing all over him. He loves going to Daycare, but usually takes 3 days of solid sleeping to recover afterwards. |

LunaHi, I’m Luna. I’m a 16 month old Labrador and my Mum tells me I am beautiful, enthusiastic, lively and sometimes just a little bit naughty. I love going for walks, playing in the water at the beach or in my pool, meeting new people and other dogs, giving “kisses” to anyone or anything, chasing brooms and mops, chewing most things and I especially love coming to doogy day care where I get to catchup with all my friends and get lots of attention. I get so excited when I come to doggy day care that I can’t even wait for the car door to open to let me out. My Mum makes me wait so she can put a lead on but sometimes I just try to jump past her so I can get inside quicker. When at day care I also try to keep the staff busy and help out by emptying the water bowl as often as I can and then getting them to chase me around to get the water bowl back. It’s the best fun. |

SpudMini in stature but sometimes maxi in attitude, two year old Maltese-cross Spud is a mummy’s boy who loves to be cuddled. He likes walks on the beach, sleeping in and hanging out at the dog parks with his friends. He loves playing hide-and-seek in the house with his mum and dad. He doesn’t like bath time, possums on the roof or the cat going near his fuzzy igloo. He might be small, but he howls like a big when he hears a siren. Just to prove he is a real dog, he steals socks and runs away with them. His paws smell like doritos and after a day at Dogcity he needs to have a big sleep to recover from all the excitement. |

Tayla & LoganLogan is a red Siberian Husky that just never stops running, whether in the backyard, at the dog park or at daycare. His favourite hobby at the moment is going back and forth in the backyard chasing and being chased by Tayla. Like most Huskies he’s a very independent dog, but when he decides it’s time for affection it’s hard to resist. Tayla is a Siberian Husky with a star studded family. Her grandfather starred in Disney’s Snow Buddies, and her great-grandfather starred in Disney’s Snow Dogs. Tayla really, really…really likes her food. Her favourite hobby is trying to take down Logan, either by taking out his legs or pulling him down by his tail. When they arrive at daycare no time is wasted in the reception area as they cannot wait to be playing with their friends. |

RaspyA social butterfly on four very dirty paws, Raspy is an exuberant West Highland Terrier who wants to be friends with every dog in the world. Big or small, old or puppy, it doesn’t matter: as long as you have a waggly tail, she’ll be your brand new BFF. A whirlwind of chaos, Raspy spends most of her days running through the house, stealing embarrassing objects from visitors’ handbags and tormenting her toy cat. Occasionally, she’ll pause to do her patented “good-dog” impersonation whenever she thinks it’s time for dinner or a walk. Dogcity Day Care is her most favourite place in the world, as evidenced by her routine refusal to leave at day’s end, accompanied by her denial of having ever seen her owners before in her life. |

CooperCooper was rescued from the Animal Welfare League approximately 6 years ago as a companion for our other dog. He was a shy, skinny little man who was so eager to please. Now he is a very sweet and very confident fellow who is afraid of nothing and has a keen sense of his own importance. Unfortunately, he became an only ‘child’ a couple of years ago and the opportunity to attend doggy day care was seen as a great way for him to run off his excess energy and meet new friends. Apparently, he is a hit with the ‘lady labs’ and was awarded number 1 lady killer at day care 2011 birthday celebrations. He is a master thief when it comes to anything edible…sardines (still in their tins), frozen prawns by the kilo and whole bags of dog bickies in one sitting. Coopers favourite thing to do when not at day care is to watch the world go by at the back of his garden. He gets particularly excited when other dogs are seen on the other side of his creek. A few have been known to swim over and say hello to him through the fence and he has been known to charm his visitors or the neighbours who leave tennis balls for him. |
