New Season Winter Wear
Although it’s a little way off, cuddly winter jumpers and jackets are arriving in-store this week at Dogcity!
We encourage all dog-parents to visit us at Dogcity before making any bookings to see our facility and ensure you are comfortable entrusting our staff with your beloved pet. Please call to arrange a visit, or drop by during business hours.
Absolutely. Our play groups are divided according to both size and temperament, ensuring that each dog only associate with suitable playmates. All groups have constant supervision, to maximise safety.
We use only Hill’s Science Diet dog treats at Dogcity Daycare. Due to the energetic nature of their play and activities, we do not feed dogs full meals, but instead reward good behaviour and training success with plenty of yummy Hill’s treats!
Our first priority is the safety of all our dogs, so we have designed a ‘time-out’ area so dogs can be removed from the play group instantly. Dogs can become nervous or aggressive for different reasons, and our staff attempt to address these issues and resolve problems as best we can. However, if the dog is a threat to the safety of our staff or other clients, then it is required that the dog is removed from Dogcity permanently.
No. Behaviour at Dogcity will be conditioned to the daycare centre. This means that the rules and requirements at daycare may be different to those at home, including where to toilet. These same principles apply when you take your dog to the park or beach.
While all care is taken to ensure dogs are safe and healthy during their stay, we are also well-prepared for unexpected accidents or illness. Our staff are trained in canine first aid, and if the need arises, we will transport your dog immediately to a local veterinary practise. Parents will be notified in the case of an emergency.
No, our schedule of activities are all undertaken inside secure, climate controlled premises of almost 600 square metres. Your dog will get adequate exercise and rest time in our facility, and with a soft rubber floor and plenty to do, there’s no chance he will get restless!
To discourage protective behaviour and to maintain a high standard of hygiene, we ask that all belongings remain at home.
You can nominate for us to email or call you during the day to update you on your dogs activities and experience. To prevent any tantrums when you leave again, we ask that you only visit the centre when dropping your dog off or picking him up.
