Mission

Continually strive for new iniatives and ways to improve the lives of domestic pets and their owners. Build a highly respected, recognisable and trusted brand associated with the highest quality pet care. Identify, prioritise and implement business ventures consistent with the company vision.

Safety First

The health, safety and wellbeing of our clientele and staff are our first priority.

  • All canine clients must satisfy immunisation requirements, be desexed (with the exception of puppies under 6 months) and registered with their council.
  • Illegal or dangerous dogs as listed by council are not permitted. Dogcity reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog deemed by our staff to be a risk to safety.
  • A safe and hygienic environment is maintained at all times.
  • All furry clients will be given a chance to learn the rules. If manners are not minded and the experience of other clients is affected, the dog will not be permitted to return.

The Pack Environment

Being with other dogs in a social environment is a very natural state for every dog and it is incredible to see how dogs can teach and rehabilitate one other! Our centre is divided into three separate playpens which we divide based on size and temperament to ensure each dog is comfortable and confident in their group. Even if your dog has had limited contact with others, having them in a controlled and safe environment with other dogs is an extremely effective way to get them back into just ‘being a dog’ and to start exhibiting some wonderfully organic and healthy behaviours.

Training and Behaviour

The team at Dogcity understand you have probably worked hard with a particular style of training for your dog, and we will not ‘undo’ or compromise any of those good effects. We work on the principle that dogs energy levels should be managed to reduce anxiety, overexcitement or potential aggression and we focus on keeping energy at a medium level during their time at daycare. We manage this by leadership, correction and positive reinforcement and all of our staff are trained to exercise this correctly. This gives you dog the best possible chance at successful communication and play with other dogs, and ensures a safe and happy environment for people and dogs alike.

Natural Drives and Holistic Fulfilment Concept

The team at Dogcity are passionate about our clients using daycare to complement a full life for their dogs. We believe a dogs natural instincts, drives and communication must be learned by humans and the satisfaction of a dog’s drives are key to a successful and happy co-existence! We want to share what we know about how to fulfil your dogs natural instincts and how to add daycare in conjunction with your own exercise regime and fulfilment formula. This includes walking and then more walking, mental stimulation and problem solving, play and recreation as well as other activities that mimic the breed’s original purpose.
